CRISPY CHINESE DUCK…
It’s been a bit of a weird week for most of us, I hope everyone is doing okay…
I had some aldiuk duck breasts that I needed to use and fancied a rich sauce alongside them. I scored the duck skin and sprinkled with a little Chinese 5 spice. I seared them skin side down for 5 mins until crispy and then into a 180° oven for 10 mins. Wrapped in foil and rested for 10 mins also.
In the mean time I fried one red onion sliced thinly, a good splash of red wine and half a bottle of bluedragonuk hoisin sauce. I let this blip until slightly thickened.
I served this alongside my favourite albert_bartlett red mashed potatoes and some tenderstem brocolli.
This felt really special but was so easy to make.
