GREEK BBQ LAMB…
This lamb needed a post of its own… it was honestly the best lamb I’ve ever had…
To start with i butterflied half a leg of aldiuk lamb. It was the top part of the leg.
I ed a YouTube video and it was really simple, although a butcher will do this for you.
Marinade-
Olive oil
2 lemons juice and empty halves in the bowl too
2 white onions roughly chopped
5 cloves garlic chopped
1 tbsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp chilli flakes
2 tsp Worcester sauce
Salt and pepper
Mix it all together and let the lamb marinade all night. Ideally 24 hours.
Bring the lamb out of the fridge 1 hour before cooking.
Place the lamb on the bbq above hot coals and sear until a crust has formed on all sides.
Move off of the heat to the side of the bbq and let it cook, turning every now and then. This piece took roughly 40 mins to get to this blushing meat.
Rest for 10 minutes, carve and serve ❤️
Cooking times will vary but you can always use a meat thermometer if needed.
