KING PRAWN KORMA…
I had prawns I’d brought for tacos but the weather is rubbish and I just fancied curry. I’ve made this korma before but only with chicken so far, it’s so good ❤️
It’s mild and creamy but you can add spice if you want to.
I will post the recipe to my highlights after I’ve typed it up. It’s currently in my scrappy handwriting in my homemade recipe diary… where all my food thoughts live… 🤷🏻♀️
I asked you guys on my story today what your favourite curry was… if you’ve not checked it out take a look as some fellow foodies have some pretty awesome ideas… ❤️
2x packs frozen king prawns (chicken can be used)
1 large yellow onion diced
4tsp each ginger & garlic paste
2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp brown sugar
100ml double cream
300ml chicken/veg stock
Fresh parsley to serve (or coriander if you prefer)
In a pan heat oil to medium and cook onions until soft.
Stir in ginger & garlic pastes, spices and stir.
Add the brown sugar and stock of choice. Simmer for 5 mins.
Blitz the sauce smooth with a hand blender. (This is optional but I prefer a smooth sauce)
Add cream and prawns (or chicken)
Simmer until the meat or fish is cooked through.
Check seasoning is to taste and serve with fresh herbs and rice ❤️
